Additionally, Porter Airlines brings a new experience to economy travel. The elevated service aboard the airline includes free WiFi, a selection of premium snacks, and free beer and wine for all passengers aged 21 and up. Premium mixed cocktails and fresh meals are available for purchase using PorterClassic fares or included in PorterReserve fares. The airline also offers seats with extra legroom and priority check-in.

The Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for Porter Airlines, Kevin Jackson, spoke about the unique experience that comes with flying on a Porter Airlines Embraer E195-E2. He stated,

"Canadians are used to flying to Florida, but not like this. Porter’s all-economy onboard service is unmatched by any other carrier in North America. Whether that’s free WiFi, no middle seats, free beer and wine alongside premium snacks, or fresh, healthy food, Porter is challenging the industry’s definition of economy air travel. We believe that time onboard our aircraft is just as important as at the destination."

Several new routes to warm destinations

The airline is offering several new routes to major Florida airports from two Canadian airports. Planes departing Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) will now fly to Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) beginning on November 30, Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) on November 10, Miami International Airport (MIA) on December 12, Orlando International Airport (MCO) on November 21, and Tampa International Airport (TPA) on November 1. Each of these nonstop round-trip flights will be offered once per day.

The Chief Executive Officer and President of VISIT FLORIDA, Dana Young, spoke about the expansion of the Canadian airline into Florida. Young stated,

"We are excited to welcome Porter Airlines to Florida. Our Canadian visitors will be able to take advantage of these direct flights to 5 different destinations throughout the state and experience our beautiful beaches, miles of nature trails and endless opportunities for fun in the sun."

Additionally, the airline is also offering service from Ottawa International Airport (YOW). Porter Airlines will fly to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Orlando (MCO) from Ottawa beginning on November 30 and November 21 respectively. These services are also daily nonstop flights.

The President and Chief Executive Officer of Ottawa International Airport Authority, Mark Laroche, spoke about the new destinations for Ottawa residents. He said,

"Fort Lauderdale and Orlando are popular Florida destinations for Ottawa-Gatineau passengers. Whether you’re snowbirds escaping the winter, or a family heading to one of Florida’s many attractions like Magic Kingdom, Porter’s new non-stop service will make getting to the sun and sand more comfortable this winter."

These new destinations come after a busy summer of expanding for Porter Airlines. The airline recently launched Vancouver to Ottawa flights on its E195-E2. Earlier this summer, Porter Airlines also added Victoria, British Columbia to its expanding E195-E2 network.
